The magic of lagoon
Discover the places and “casoni” of Caorle Lagoon, travelling along its waterways on board a "bragozzo", a typical and ancient wooden boat used from the beginning of the 1900s for fishing and passenger transport. A rich and precious area, a great reserve of life, nature, culture, history and tradition and the unlimited numbers of sounds that nature releases into this environment.
During the excursion it is possible to visit the “casoni”, the traditional marsh houses which were found for numerous centuries in the lagoons, on the river banks or scattered around the countryside, providing homes, villages and shelters for farmers, fishermen, hunters.
Veils of straw and canes merge together on the edges of the water or where water and land meet, along the hazy profiles of the lowlands, above the “barene”, the lands covered by high water, in the internal lagoons and inside the marshy clearings of the hills.
